The Rapids Waterslide Water Park is one of California's best water parks for vacationers to spend time at. This is old-school watersliding at it's very best. The twists and turns are classic and you get to moving at a pretty good pace during your slide.
All sliders must be 42" tall to ride the slides and double sliding is prohibited. Safety is paramount and therefore swimwear or clothing with metal embellishments like zippers or rivets are not allowed on the slides. So wear you plainest swimsuit you own and do not think you can get away with cut-off shorts. You will be asked to change or leave if you cannot change into something appropriate.
The Rapids Waterslide Water Park is an East Bay Regional Park District Facility and it will cost you $6 per vehicle to park. Admission prices vary, you can slide for 1/2 hour for $8 dollars and one hour for $10 dollars. A little better deal is the half day pass for $13.95 for 3 1/2 hours of sliding and the best deal of all is the entire day, all seven hours, for $19.95. The park opens for the day at 10:30 am and closes at 5:30 pm.
The park is open on the last weekend in May and the first weekend in June then daily from June 11 to Sept 5. The post season rounds out the year with the park only open the last three weekends in September before closing for the season.
You can reserve a picnic area with a barbeque grill if you have a group outing planned or are having a child's birthday party. The park can comfortably accommodate large groups of up to 300 people for your special occasion. The picnic areas all have picnic tables a barbeque grill and most of them have some shade available, too. For the ones that do not have natural shade there are tents or portable shelters available for a fee.
There are different levels of pricing for each type of birthday party offered so call for quotes and then choose wisely. The birthday plans start at $75 dollars and go on up to $280. Your child could have their best birthday ever if the planning is just right.
If you have or are a teenager looking for summer employment then all you have to do is stop by and fill out an application. Jobs are limited so get your application in as early as you can. Go ahead, make a day of it and get there early to fill out the application then slide for the rest of the day. If the management sees you enjoying the park then they may think that you are the best candidate for the job.
There was some question as to whether or not the slides would be able to stay open for several more years. Well, the board voted earlier this month and the slides will be allowed to operate for at least ten more years. This is great news for all the customers who frequent the Rapids Waterslide each summer season.
