Types of bets in roulette
Roulette is a very popular game whether played online or in a casino. While playing the game it is important to know the rules and regulations and familiarize yourself with the game.
There are different types of bet that you can place while playing roulette. The Inside bets and the outside bets. Some casinos even give different types of chips to the players who are going to place inside bets and a dissimilar type for the outside bets.
Inside bets have six different types of bets that can be placed. First being the straight up bet which is a single number that you bet on. In this the chip is placed on the number that you are betting on. Second type is split where in you can bet on two adjoining numbers either vertically or horizontally like 14-17 or 8-9 and the chip is placed between those numbers. Third is the street in which bet is placed on 3 numbers or a single horizontal line, left or right would depend on the layout. Fourth inside bet is corner or square where bet is on 4 numbers in a square layout e.g. 11-12-14-15 and the chip is placed at horizontal and vertical intersection between the numbers. Fifth type is the six lines where you can bet on two adjoining streets and the chips would be placed at the corresponding intersection. Trio is sixth type of inside bet where bet is placed on the intersecting point between 0, 1 and 2 or 0, 2 and 3.
In the outside bets you have a better chance of winning but the payouts are small. You can bet on numbers that are the first low eighteen numbers from 1 to 18. You can make a bet on the last higher eighteen numbers from 19 to 36 or bet on the color of the roulette wheel being black or red. You can also bet on odd or even numbers. Another kind is the dozen bets in which you can bet on the first, second or third group of twelve numbers or you can go for the column bet where you can bet on all 12 numbers on any of the 3 vertical lines.
It always best to play at those tables where the table is full and busy. You must always remember while playing the game that there are no guaranteed wins as some people claim there to be. So place your bet wisely and must not over do it.
