Jewellery has a great importance since the past. In old times it was worn as a symbol of wealth and status but now they are more commonly used as accessories. On the eve of wedding the bride as well as other ladies on the eve should wear earrings and the bangles. Beautiful gold or diamond rings are usually exchanged between the bride and the bridegroom at this occasion. Such ring must be selected that is delicately and beautifully made.
The jewellery we wear at the formal occasions is quite different from the ones we wear at wedding in a way that the necklaces of huge size, tikka and piyals are avoided.
