If you are like most people and have had the misfortune to have gone through a relationship break up then you will know how difficult and stressful it can be. Even the friendliest of break ups can have a devastating impact on our emotional well being. Most likely you will go through a terrible feeling of confusion, exasperation, pain and even a horrible feeling of guilt...and...On top of all this you can't seem to get the thoughts of your ex from out of your head. You know very well that things can never be the same again, but still you can’t stop thinking "what can I do to get my ex back again?" this can sometimes seem a difficulty question. However, the answer does not always have to be a negative one, because with the right plan of action there is a good possibility that you can do exactly that, but you may have to do some carful soul searching.
You don’t need me, to inform you that no two people are exactly the same, and that statement is also true of relationships. Every relationship is different. However, there is one thing that every relationship has in common with each other, and that is: “they all comprise of two people”. So, even though you may be completely convinced that it’s your ex’s entire fault, you have to be brave enough to realise that you must have had a parte to play in the events and circumstances that led to the break-up. But, here’s some thing equally interesting thing: even though there were two people involved in the partnership, there is only one person right now who you can influence sufficiently to make any major changes, and! That’s you.
So, long as you are the only one that you can have any kind of influence over, it’s very plane to see: that you are the one that needs to be taken care of first. And so the first step is to temporally cease all contact with your ex - for the time being. At this moment you don’t need your thoughts and considerations regarding your ex confusing you right now. Of course, you miss them badly, but at this present time you need some time by yourself. Besides, if you keep trying to make contact your ex you will run the risk of aggravating them further, which may only push them further away from you and make it harder to get them back .
Once you have started to recover from the shock of the break-up you should start to think more clearly. Now it's time to assess the whole situation and look at what really went wrong your partnership. This is not always an easy task, and you are going to have to be brutally honest with yourself. Most people only take into consideration the things that are on the surface, but surface manifestations have much deeper underlying problems. For example, two people in a relationship that are constantly arguing and bickering with each other aren’t the really problem. The real problems are: what’s causing the arguing and bickering? This step isn't going to be easy, but if you don’t do it properly then you can’t identify the parts of the relationship that have actually broken down successfully so you won’t know what to fix.
Once you have identified the true areas of your relationship that need looking at then you should re-establish contact with your ex . At this point all you are trying to do is talk to them face-to-face. It is important that you do your best to try and keep calm, take things one step at a time and always remain positive.
