There are quite a few people who are friends reunited, dating and making plans to spend the rest of their lives together. The initial relationship probably occurred when they were in high school and life got in the way of them continuing their relationship. One of them may have gone off to college or their family moved away during their senior year. What ever the reason, they found each other again and reunited.
How do you know if the reunion friends can have a successful current relationship? Well, since nothing is for certain then you really can't know, but relationships that get a second chance may seem to be just that much more precious and maybe the participants treat the new relationship more delicately and do what ever they can to make each other happy.
Communication is very important to any relationship and when friends reunited dating they begin their relationship again and they make sure that nothing gets in the way so they strive to communicate about anything and everything that could impact their relationship in any way.
Second chance relationships may have started out as first love relationships and have the highest success rate when it comes to staying together the second time around. Also, most second chance loves are more intense, progressed at a quicker pace and the sex is the best they have ever had. Why? Because, they once had an intimate knowledge of one another and also that first loves are never forgotten. In fact, first loves are usually put on a pedestal and every other relationship that person has is compared to that first one.
Some people would say that a successful second chance romance is not possible and they do not last if they do happen. They say this because they believe the adage, "You can't go home again." Though there are second chance relationships and marriages that do end a second time that does not mean that they all will. In fact, somewhere in the range of 60-70% of second timers are very successful and have long lasting relationships. I think those are pretty good odds, don't you?
To those of us who have had a second chance love work out for the best we know that this is not true. You can go home again and be very comfortable doing it. I think that's why some people are successful with a second chance romance, because it can be a very comfortable thing. You knew this person once upon a time and even though people change you can use that as a jumping off point to getting to know them again.
Conversation is easier with someone you knew before and there is no customary awkwardness between you. You got along years ago and now you have found that nothing has really changed and you seem to have taken up right where you left off. What a wonderful feeling to know that they still get you and you get to be friends, reunited and dating.
