If you don't have the budget for a software program at this stage in your career, you can always use the free keyword tool by Google. Since Google is one of the largest search engines you will get a very good idea of what words are being searched for online.
Remember too that using long tailed keywords (keyword phrases that have more than 3 words) is a great strategy for two reasons. One, they will have less competition and two, they will be very targeted. For example, if someone is searching for "dog training" not only is that a very competitive keyword for you to target, it is also very vague.
But, if you use the keyword "best dog training guide" you will have less competition and you know that someone is likely to buy that product when they find it.

keywords marketing is a very necessary skill to learn. It may also be a skill that will take a little trial and error to perfect. Give it time and remember that keywords can be like money in the bank.
