Catering- standard of quality and services
Catering is the name of the services provided to arrange the function out from the home. Basically it was founded because hosts also want to enjoy the function. If hosts perform task while function such as serving food and arranging other things for the guest than they may not be enjoy the function which they have arranged in full capacity. It is seen that people out source these type of activities because they think that by giving this work to anyone else they can do more enjoy as compare to completely other situations.
There are many companies which are performing such types of job and most important along with good thing is; their client satisfaction theory. According to client satisfaction theory says that company should maintain a standard of quality in its product or services to gain the satisfaction of their most valuable asset which is no one other than their customer or clients. To gain the trust of the customer it is seen that quality and active services are very important in catering. Take an example to understand this phenomena, there are two companies A and B; one is provide variety of decoration as compare to it other one is providing quick services while your function through its trained staff, which company will choose. Well, the answer of question may vary because different people have different choices but if have to choose than I will choose company B. Decoration matters a lot but once the function has been started than I want that my guest dose not wait for any thing for which I have paid to the catering company because people may forget your decoration, done in the specific function but the service provided in that remain long in their memories.
According to the survey done on this catering field, people and their feeling are attached with the food and its quality when they are choosing any catering company for their function. Food is basically a main item which always grabs the attention of the gathering anyone has invited on their parties. Customers are basically looking that their hired company will provided some thing unique and qualitative too in the food items. A trend has also been studied that variety of dishes are served to maintain the status. If company failed to provide the food according to their customer expectation than those companies has to face the challenges in the future because a client and its guest will spread negative mouth of marketing about that company?
Decoration is also an important and creative part of the catering but all the time this department is not needed because if someone has to arrange a small party than it is possible that he or she only order the food to the catering companies but not ask for the decoration. Somehow in relatively large parties’ decorations plays an important role like decoration grab the attention of the audience at start means when they start entering the function. So discussion tells us that client need food and its quality more than decoration.
