The goodness of his strength
The dictionary explains strength as being endurance, force, bravery, spirit and source of power. The Bible mentions many times about strength and songs. Now song explain in the dictionary means a call or utterance. Let's see what the Bible says. It says in the book of Psalm 118:13 I was pushed back and about to fall, but the Lord helped me. The Lord is my strength and my song; he has become my salvation. This verse seems to be saying that the Lord gave him endurance, force, bravery, spirit and source of power, as well as a call or utterance. Since the beginning of time people have sang a song to the Lord. Look at Exodus 15:1 it says I will sing to the Lord, for he is highly exalted. The horse and its rider he has hurled into the sea. The Lord is my strength and my song; he has become my salvation. He is my God, and I will praise him, my father's God, and I will exalt him.
Look at Deuteronomy 6:4 it says Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God, the Lord is one. Love the Lord your God with all you heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. These commandments that I give you today are to be upon your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. Look at 1Chronicles 16:9 it says For the eyes of the Lord range throughout the earth to strengthen those whose heart are fully committed to him.
Now look at Nehemiah 8:10 it says Nehemiah said, Go and enjoy choice food and sweet drinks, and send some to those who have nothing prepared. This day is sacred to our Lord. Do not grieve, for the joy of the Lord is your strength. What a merciful God!! Look at Psalm 28:6 it says Praise be to the Lord, for he has heard my cry for mercy. The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in him, and I am helped.
Look at Psalm 46:1 it says God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea, though its waters roar and foam and the mountains quake with their surging. The Bible clearly tell us to give credit to the Lord. Look at Psalms 96:6 it says Splendor and majesty are before him; strength and glory are in his sanctuary. Ascribe to the Lord, O families of nations, ascribe to the Lord glory and strength. Ascribe to the Lord the glory due his name; bring an offering and come into his courts. Worship the Lord in the splendor of his holiness; tremble before him, all the earth. Say among the nations, "The Lord reigns." The world is firmly established, it cannot be moved; he will judge the peoples with equity.
In the book of Isaiah 35:3 it says Strengthen the feeble hands, steady the knees that give way; say to those with fearful hearts, Be strong, do not fear;; your God will come, he will come with vengeance; with divine retribution he will come to save you. Now look at Isaiah 40:29 it says He gives strength to the weary and increases the power to the weak. Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint. Isaiah 41:10 says So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God, I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.
Now look at Mar 12:29 it says The most important one, answered Jesus, is this Hear, O Israel, the Lord our God, the Lord is one. Love the Lord your God with all your heart and will all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength. The second is this Love your neighbor as yourself. There is no commandment greater than these. Well said, teacher, the man replied. You are right in saying that God is one and there is no other but him. To love him with all your heart, with all your understanding and with all your strength, and to love your neighbor as yourself is more important than all burnt offerings and sacrifices. When Jesus saw that he had answered wisely, he sad to him, "You are not far from the kingdom of God." And from then on no one dared ask him any more questions.
In the book of 1Corinthians 1:24 it says but to those whom God has called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God. For the foolishness of God is wiser than man's wisdom , and the weakness of God is stronger than man's strength. Now look at 1Corinthians 14:26 it says What then shall say, brother? When you come together, everyone has a hymn or a word of instruction, a revelation, a tongue or an interpretation. All of these must be done for the strengthening of the church.
Now look at the book of Ephesians 3:14 it says For this reason I kneel before the Father, from whom his whole family in heaven and on earth derives its nane. I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love may have power, together will all the saints, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge-that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God. Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more that than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generation, for ever and ever Amen.
Look at Philippians 4:12 it says I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want. I can do everything through him who gives me strength. Now look at 2Thessalonians 2:16 it says May our Lord Jesus Christ himself and God our Father, who loved us and by his grace gave us eternal encouragement and good hope, encourage your hearts and strengthen you in every good deed and word.
To conclude look at 1Peter 4:7 it says The end of all things is near. Therefore be clear minded and self-controlled so that you can pray. Above all love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins. Offer hospitality to one another without grumbling. Each one should use whatever gift he has received to serve others, faithfully administering God's grace in its various forms. If anyone speaks, he should do it as one speaking the very words of God. If anyone serves, he should do it with the strength God provides, so that in all things God may be praised through Jesus Christ. To him be the glory and the power for ever and ever. Amen.
